VI International Congress on Human Rights: 12, 13 and 14 July 2023

Dear participants,

As in previous years, this year 2023, from the newly created Centre for Human Rights and Public Policy Research (CIDH-Diversitas), we will hold the VI International Congress on Human Rights. The congress will be the continuation of the previous International Congresses on Public Policies in defence of inclusion, diversity and gender, which we have been organising since 2018 from the GIR Diversitas of the University of Salamanca with such successful and enriching results in the study of human rights. In this way, from the organisation of the Congress, we give you the warmest and most cordial welcome to the city of Salamanca, to our beloved University and, of course, to our Human Rights Research Centre Diversitas.

The 6th edition of the International Congress on Human Rights will be held on 12, 13 and 14 July 2023 at the University of Salamanca and will focus on "Climate Justice and Human Rights". Once again, we are committed to an exclusively face-to-face format that allows us to maintain the proximity in the exchange of reflections, ideas and knowledge about what we consider to be one of the greatest challenges that we will have to face in the coming years: the treatment of the climate crisis from the perspective of social justice. All this from an interdisciplinary perspective that will open its doors to the study of Climate Justice from the perspective of environmental and climate science, statistics, psychology, law, criminology, sociology, social work, political science, education and communication, among many other subjects.

This year, as in the last edition, we will also have special interdisciplinary panel sessions where members of the CIDH-Diversitas will share their reflections on Climate Justice and Human Rights in relation to the content of each of the different thematic panels of the Congress. These sessions will be held on the first day of the Congress (12 July), to which you are cordially invited.

The Congress organisers would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in us over the years and invite you to participate in this sixth edition, which we are sure will be a wonderful experience of reflection on the greatest challenge of the 21st century.
